Yes, it is, that we all search for inspiration
And yes, as a result we find frustration
Only the answers can still
The driving force behind the will
And a deep sigh shall find creation
The rivers within achieve near boil
Strands of emotion hang in endless toil
Yet it stands as so
That only I can go
To cease creative seed’s search for thoughtful soil
Here it is, the chance for meaning to stay
The door stands open, inviting play
No move was made
Figure hid in the shade
Door swings shut, strikes down the day
Mind grows hot from over-use
Closed lights will send a friend to loose
Foundation must crumble
To keep wild spirit humble
Battlefront borders find sleepful truce

Note: This is an "Old One" and also one of the few that was actually published.
It was bittersweet. Although legitimate, it was still published by an organization that
published EVERYTHING they were sent and then tried to sell you shit like engraved
this and fancily inscribed that. Not exactly a scam but definitely misleading in a
predatory way.
Oh well, live and learn. Although I'm still trying to get the learn part right.
Another Note: I am well aware that there is no such word as "Sleepful". That said, I tried
"Healing", "Slumbering", "Sleepy", "Sleep-filled", as well as the obvious "Peaceful".
You'd think "Peaceful Truce" would work until you realize it's redundant. There is no such thing as a Violent Truce. The exception perhaps being anywhere in Afghanistan.
Thank you wmilza for the feedback as well as the encouragement.
Here's a note for ya. You don't owe anyone an explanation of your use of words. Songwriters make up or twist words all the time. Tell anyone who has a problem with it to go fuck themselves.
